After one too many sleepless nights cuddled up to an aged but truly loved Stratocaster in the cold shell of an elderly Transit Brian came to the realization that it was time to find an alternative career to that of touring in a 60’s cover pop group! There followed a 30-year career in social work and academia.

Music however was not to be abandoned Brian forming the ever popular Black Country group Giggetty in 1971. Over the following quarter of a century the band produced 9 albums, made some 80 appearances on national and local TV, hosted their own local radio show for 2 years, wrote several theme songs for TV along with a number of advertising jingles, composed the music for two documentaries and a video and enjoyed a hectic gigging program in excess of100 gigs per year! Given Brian's band role as songwriter, performer and publisher this was indeed a hectic schedule.

Following a serious illness in 1997 a further career turn was called for and the desire to write for theatre blossomed. A member of The Writers Guild, Brian has worked with a number of publishers to establish a portfolio of some 30 works including 5 musical plays with original music. In addition to writing Brian runs www.leglessproductions.co.uk and www.oneactplays.org.uk two internet based publishing houses aiming to bring fresh and innovative writing to the attention of an all too often unimaginative world. Brian, with co-writer Len Holden, conceived and scripted ‘The Billie Holiday Story’ successfully toured nationally and in Europe by Eureka Theatre Productions in Autumn 2006 and Spring 2007.

Once again it is a genuine privilege and thrill to be part of this sixth tour of Theatre-Productions ‘Over the Rainbow The Eva Cassidy Story.’
