Rodney trained at the Tanwood Theatre School, Swindon, before moving
to London to study as a Countertenor at the Trinity College of Music
and the Royal College of Music.
As a singer Rodney has performed as a soloist in many of London
premier concert venues including St John’s Smith Square, the Royal
Festival Hall, St Martin-in-the Fields, and Lambeth Palace for the
Archbishop of Canterbury, singing a wide range of repertoire from
Handel’s Messiah to Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.
Operatically Rodney Has sung the roles Arsamenes in Handel’s Xerxes,
Orfeo in Glucks Orfeo et Euridice, Spirit and Sorceress in Purcell’s
Dido and Aneus Ptolemy in Handel’s Julio Cesare Bertarido in
Handel’s Rodelinda.
Television appearances include Blackadder, Songs of Praise, A Royal
Gala for the Princes Trust at the Royal Albert Hall and Downtown
with Emma Bunton for Children in Need. This autumn will see him
appear in one episode of the new drama Fashion.
Theatre credits include: She at the Theatre Museum in Covent Garden;
Heavens Above at the Gatehouse.
From a very early age Rodney has appeared in Pantomimes for Kevin
Wood, Charles Vance and Paul Elliott. More recently at The Plaza
Theatre Stockport he played Esmerelda Hardup (the pretty Ugly
Sister) in Cinderella and he is now delighted to be revisiting Widow
Twanky, a role he first played at The Winsford Theatre, Cheshire.
Rodney is in constant demand both here and abroad for his one man
Classical Comedy show, performing for audiences as diverse as The
Royal Ballet to HH the Sheikh of Dubai!
