Emily began her career in the ground breaking ORANGES ARE NOT THE ONLY FRUIT for the BBC as 'Small Tess', directed by Beeban Kidron for which she was nominated for Bafta Best Television Actress 1990. She has gone on to play regular characters in CHILDREN'S WARD and CORONATION STREET.
Her recent television credits include Kay Mellor's BETWEEN THE SHEETS, CONVICTION for Red Productions and BLACKPOOL and FUNLAND for the BBC. She has appeared in ROBIN HOOD, SINCHRONICITY and most recently HEARTBEAT.
Emily has worked with some of Britain's most exciting film directors starting with BUTTERFLY KISS for Michael Winterbottom, HEARTLANDS with Damien O'Donnell and THE PAROLE OFFICER for John Duigan. She followed that with Shane Meadows' DEAD MAN'S SHOES and MILLIONS for Danny Boyle.
Emily's theatre credits include ONCE UPON A TIME IN WIGAN on tour for writer/director Paul Sadot and RITA, SUE AND BOB TOO playing 'Rita' for Max Stafford Clarke and Out of Joint. She starred as 'Shelly-Louise' in MARTHA, JOSIE AND THE CHINESE ELVIS at Birmingham Rep and on tour and as 'Rachel' in BAD GIRLS: THE MUSICAL in the West End. Her most recent theatre credit was THE PRETENDER AGENDA at the Players Theatre. She is thrilled to be part of THE NAKED TRUTH.
