Sarah
Jane is most recently known for playing crazy Kathy Barnes in the
channel 4 soap "Hollyoaks".
She made her first TV appearance at 17, singing on an ITV talent
program "Scramble" hosted by Richard and Judy.
She went on to train at The Guildford School of Acting and on
leaving entered into musicals and TV.
She played the Narrator in the national tour of "Joseph" at the age
of 22 and continued in musicals and pantomimes all over the world.
After working in "Elvis the Musical" with fellow actress Jo
Michaels, the two then formed a cabaret duo called "The Polka Dots".
This lively and exciting act toured with many comedians and artistes
including The Chuckle Brothers and Joe Pascuale!
It was then that Sarah Jane honed her skills as a presenter,
interacting and entertaining audiences in their thousands. She has
won awards for her one woman cabaret show and gained many loyal fans
along the way.
After working abroad presenting and performing she returned to the
UK and secured the exciting and popular role of crazy Kathy Barnes
in the hit channel 4 soap "Hollyoaks". This character filled the
screens with two and a half years of controversial and entertaining
story lines.
In January 2008 Sarah made a memorable appearance on the live ITV
show Loose Women.
Sarah Jane has just completed a part in the feature film "Kicks" in
which she plays a Liverpool mum with a taste for younger men!!
As an active ambassador for The Prince's Trust she presents and
performs at many North West events to raise considerable funds for
the worthy cause.
This year Sarah Jane had the honor of presenting in front of Prince
Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Westminster alongside Carol
Vorderman and Jules Holland at a Prince's Trust fundraiser for the
North West.
Also in 2009 she presented an evening with Heather Small which
raised £100,000 for the Trust.
Sarah hosted the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success awards ceremony
for the North West in 2007, the highlight of which has led to
meetings with HRH Prince Charles at the National Finals.

Sarah is currently touring in the play "The Tart and the Vicar's
Wife" for Ian Dickens productions.
In addition to acting, performing and presenting, she now runs TV
Workshops around the country for aspiring actors. This comprehensive
training includes audition techniques, acting for camera, script
work and confidence building.
