A Viennese Strauss Gala
Strauss Gala Productions bring you a brand new production of this ever popular recreation of the romance of the Viennese Festive season. Reminding audiences of a bygone age of glamorous soirées and Strauss waltzes, 'A Viennese Strauss Gala' features highlights from some of the great Operattas of the Strauss family, Kalman and Lehar; including Die Fledermaus, The Merry Widow and many more.
The European Orchestral Ensemble will accompany four soloists from the major opera companies; including Opera North, English National Opera and D'Oyly Carte. This wonderful production is cleverly staged and choreographed and will appeal to the romantic as much as the music aficionado.

The Billie Holiday Story
‘The Billie Holiday Story’ played to packed houses and received standing ovations throughout Europe. This gritty, no-holds barred musical play dramatises the life of Billie Holiday, starring Rain Pryor (daughter of legendary black comedian Richard Pryor) portraying Billie from her childhood to her tragic death.
Starring alongside Rain is television favourite Louis Emerick, (known for his role as Mick Johnson in Brookside) and a fantastic supporting cast of West End performers.
The show uses cutting edge multi media techniques, mixing live theatre and film to create a truly atmospheric depiction of the colourful ‘Jazz Era’. Including Jivin Lindy Hoppers, great standards from Ella Fitzgerald and Paul Robeson, an authentic Big Band sound and 22 of Billie’s classic songs.

The Waltz King
‘The Waltz King’ is a picturesque presentation of Viennese life through the eyes of the Strauss Family, incorporating some of Strauss’ famous Waltz’s and Polka’s with dramatic scenes and musical excerpts from operettas such as Die Fledemaus and Gypsy Baron.
‘The Waltz King’ chronicles one of the most enduring musical dynasties ever, a tempestuous tale of rivalry between father and family taking on the exalted title of ‘The Waltz King’.
This musical production starts with the young Johann aged 18, defying his father’s wishes to establish his own musical ensemble. It deals with the tragic death of his mother and subsequent premature death of his younger brother Josef. Two decades later Johann was the toast of three continents!
Johann marries his first wife the opera singer Jetty Treffz, who encourages him to write operettas and subsequently becomes the Operetta King. A complex man, all of this success did not bring him contentment. This show continues to tell the tale of Johann’s inevitable demise.
Legends of Country
Continuing their successful formula of featuring the cream of Britain's musical talent, Theatre Productions present the ‘Legends of Country’, a heartfelt tribute to the Kings and Queens of country music; including Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Tammy Wynette alongside rising contemporaries such as Shania Twain, Garth Brookes and Leann Rimes.
'Legends of Country' features many Grammy award winning songs including 'Divorce', 'Stand By Your Man', 'Islands in the Stream', 'Coward of the Country', 'Man I Feel Like a Woman' and 'The Thunder Rolled'.
The aptly named 'Maverix Show Band' keeps the rhythm's a rollin' and the boots a tappin'.

Christmas Crooners
‘Christmas Crooners’ features many of the seasonal favourites of Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and ol’ blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra.
A fantastic cast of West-End singers, backed by the superb Jazz All-Stars band perform over 30 well known Christmas hits including ‘Winter Wonderland’, ‘Let it Snow’, ‘Little Drummer Boy’, ‘White Christmas’ and many more swing arrangements of wonderful Christmas carols including ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’, ‘Deck the Halls’, ‘Silent Night’ amongst other festive favourites.
Staged in the style of the famous Andy Williams Christmas Show, this brilliant production comes complete with a stunning décor- Christmas trees, a rocking chair and of course a beautiful fireplace; just right for those chestnuts roasting on an open fire!

Aladdin 2009
When Aladdin arrives at The Webster Theatre in Arbroath this pantomime season, expect a fantastic musical show full of festive family fun in colossal quantities – with bucket loads of boos and hisses, huge doses of heckling ‘he’s behind you’, panto dames, and maybe even a wish or two from the Genie of the Lamp.
Opening on Thursday 10th December and continuing until Saturday 2nd January 2010, more than 40 festive performances are in store for audience members at The Webster Theatre this year.
Expect to see a flying magic carpet, marvel at a host of magic tricks, watch out for Wishee Washee (played by Holby's David Paisley) and Widow Twankey’s shenanigans, and join Aladdin (played by River City's latest heart-throb Gary Lamont) on his journey from rags-to-riches – defeating the evil Abanazer, (played by David Van Day - the man we all love to hate!) and winning the heart of the beautiful princess along the way.
With a live band and a host of other familiar faces, this year’s pantomime cast includes Donna Hazelton (Scotland's own Musicality winner) as Flossie the Fairy.
Promising good old fashioned family entertainment fit for all ages, a trip to the Webster Theatre's first ever professional Pantomime shouldn’t be missed.
Aladdin 2010
When Aladdin arrives at The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering this pantomime season, expect a fantastic musical show full of festive family fun in colossal quantities – with bucket loads of boos and hisses, huge doses of heckling ‘he’s behind you’, panto dames and maybe even a wish or two from the Slave of the Ring.
Opening on Friday 10th December and continuing until Sunday 26th December, more than 25 festive performances are in store for audience members at The Lighthouse this year.
